Do you have brittle nails that easily break? Healthy nails, like hair, reflects how the person take care of himself. Dirty nails suggests poor hygiene while unhealthy nails makes the person unhealthy too.

To make sure that your nails won’t get chipped easily, incorporate as much calcium, vitamin B and protein as you can in your daily diet. Aside from that, take a multivitamin supplement to make sure that you get plenty of other vitamins and minerals.

When doing housework like gardening, washing dishes or cleaning the bathroom, always use rubber gloves. Not only will this protect your nails from hard surfaces and strong chemicals, it will also keep your hands soft and smooth as well.

It is also important that you apply a moisturizing nail cream as often as you can. Rub it thoroughly in the nail bed to soften it. Also, trim your nails and shape it round or square. Avoid pointed and long nails if you can for they are prone to chipping.

Take care if your nails by avoiding picking or doing things with your nails. For example, never open a soda can with the use of your nails. If you’re lucky, you might just chip your nail. But if you’re not, you can remove your entire nail.
