I am dead-set on cleaning my room. It has been ages… Okay, I’m exaggerating… It’s been a month since I have organized my room. Though I dread sweeping under my bed and finding dead spiders (and nothing more I hope), I need to do it. Or else, I would be sleeping in a dust filled room with creepy crawling spiders.
As part of my room cleaning, I will be organizing all my shoes and putting them in proper shoe storage. Also, I will be alphabetizing my CD collection as well as my DVDs. I will also dust my books and arrange them by height and by cover color, if I feel like it.
I will also rearrange all my clothes in my closet. I will probably make it a general rule to hang the more expensive outfits and just fold the other ones. Aside from that, I will be vacuuming my carpet and rugs, washing my curtains and changing my bed sheets.
The vanity will be organized as well by arranging the various beauty products atop and throwing the empty and expired bottles. Removing the cobwebs from the ceiling will be a challenge for I am such a short person and I don’t even have a ladder.

Amanda has been driving for ten hours straight. She just wants to get away from the city and smell the freshest fresh air in the countryside. Amanda was getting tired and hungry. She knew she had to stop somewhere to rest. Amanda has never driven this far alone and it is making her nervous.
A few minutes later, Amanda came across a quaint inn. It looked clean and safe, so Amanda decided to pull over and stay there for the night. As Amanda entered her room, she noticed that though the place looked old, it was decent. The bed had clean sheets, though it was frayed on the edges. The room also has a tidy bathroom and small but sparkly kitchen. The lamps were bright and the kitchen lighting was nice in an antique sort of way.
Amanda ordered room service and enjoyed a dinner of burger and fries. She also spent the night flicking through the channels and watching TV. She really felt at home in her small room.
Morning came and Amanda was feeling refreshed. She had a relaxing and long night’s sleep. Her first night alone in an inn wasn’t that scary at all. In fact, she enjoyed it very much.

Jane’s husband has been quite busy doing home improvement jobs. Andy has taken two weeks off from work to make mini projects around the house. This includes cleaning the garage, installing shelves, painting the roof and landscaping the garden.
Andy is quite the handyman. He has all the tools he would need like a power drill, screw drivers, saw, hammer and such. He also has different plumbing tools on hand in case pipes or faucets need to be repaired. Though unlike some people, Andy doesn’t tackle tough jobs. When he evaluates them and sees that he can’t possibly do it, he immediately contacts a professional.
Jane and Andy have been constantly talking about doing something on their patio. They have also agreed to put up a fireplace. In fact, the couple already has an outdoor fireplace design in mind. Jane and Andy are very excited about it and they can’t wait to have it installed.
During Andy’s two week leave from work, he has made home improvements that made his wife really happy. She knew she can always count on Andy do to his part around their home. Now, if only she could just make him trim his long beard.

I have been lethargic for three months. It maybe from lack of sleep and time, I am in over my head with work that I often don’t have time for myself. Next week, I will be taking my month long vacation and I am so psyched! I can’t wait to go on an adventure.
I have already scheduled myself for a white water rafting run in one of the most beautiful rivers in the state. Not only that, I will also be camping and trekking with some friends. I have also been invited to join a friendly triathlon for a cause. Though I am so out of shape and will probably won’t finish, I still want do it. I also want to try out flying on a hot air balloon but I still need to do a bit of research on that.
I have also decided to go back to the gym and exercise. I have developed flabs and fats that will never look appealing. Exercising may be tiring and boring at times, but I have promised myself to keep fit and healthy. I never want to experience being out of breath just climbing 2 flights of stairs ever again.

Troy will be turning 15 tomorrow. He is pretty excited about it but at the same time quite anxious. You see, Troy is pretty worried that his family have forgotten all about his birthday. Usually when someone in the family’s birthday is coming up, they will be talking about it at least a month before. They will plan about the celebration including who to invite and what food to serve. But this year, nobody mentioned Troy’s birthday even once.
Troy tried hinting to his mom that tomorrow will be a special day. He even tried to suggested cake decorating ideas to his mom. He only got disappointed when his mom said that everyday should be treated as a special day. Troy talked about this with his best friends, Claire and Will. But they, too, seem to have forgotten his birthday as well.
The following day, Troy woke up to a very quiet house. It seems that his whole family was out. When he entered the kitchen, he found a note stuck on the refrigerator. It read “We are at Grandma’s. Be there by lunch.”
Troy grudgingly walked towards his Grandma’s house by lunchtime. As he opened the door, he was greeted by series of flashes and shouts from his family and friends. They have remembered his birthday after all.

Allen loves to create gastronomically wonderful food. He can easily whip up a delicious meal from scratch. The very first time he tried cooking was the time he made macaroni and cheese from a box. And that was when he was 12 years old and has been cooking ever since. Allen thinks that he got his talent for cooking from his Dad, who was great at preparing wonderful meals too.
Lately, Allen has been experimenting on how to make ice cream. He has successfully made vanilla ice cream on the first try and has been doing complex flavours such as strawberry and rocky road flavours. Allen also bought a brand new convection oven and it has been keeping him busy. He had been making chocolate chip and mint cookies, banana loaf bread and Bundt cake.
A lot of Allen’s friends have been wondering how he can cook so much for just one person and not gain weight. Well, what they didn’t know is that Allen has another secret. All the extra food he cooks and bakes, he gives it away. Allen has an old neighbour who lives alone; he constantly cooks for her every time he can. On some days, he takes all his baked goodies to a local orphanage to share with the kids.
